Gateway Band Earns Superior Rating

                Congratulations to Mrs. Zamjahn’s Band students for earning a superior rating at the ACSI Band Festival February 24  in Modesto.  The three music judges rated the band on tone, rhythm, intonation, phrasing, dynamics, musicality and overall performance.  The band received a very warm applause for their rendition of the Michigan fight song and Mrs. Zamjahn’s arrangement of well-known hymns.

Fiesta Night

 April 7        Friday Night         5:00-7:00 pm        LH Campus

All Gateway families are invited for fun, fellowship and a GREAT Mexican Dinner sponsored by La Costa. A silent auction will also take place. This is one of the last fundraisers being held by our 8th graders. These students have worked hard this year earning money for their upcoming trip to Washington D.C. They wish to thank all those families who have helped support this trip!

Menu orders and money are due at either campus office no later than March 29.

For every 5 items sold your child will receive candy. Your child      will need to bring in their order forms only to get credit and receive candy.

We will visit K-2nd on Mondays & Wednesdays, and 3rd-12th on Tuesdays & Thursdays.

Important Reminder Re: Spring Photos

Unwanted school photos and/ or money will be due upon receipt of your child’s photos. On behalf of GCS and Life Touch, we thank you in advance for your cooperation.

 

Student Enrollment Reminder

Enrollment continues for all new and returning

students for the coming 2006-2007 school year. Registration is $250. Secure your child’s enrollment while there is still a place in the classroom.

Stanford 10 Test Week: April 3-7

All K-12th grade students will be taking Stanford 10 Achievement Test Monday, April 3 through Friday, April 7.

It is very important that your child attends school during this week. Please do not schedule any vacations during this time. Our teaching staff thanks you for your consideration.

Chess Club Meeting

New for Gateway is the formation of the Chess Club.  The first meeting is March 29 at 3:00-4:00 pm in the GH Library. The parent advisor is Mr. Oisaghie.  Students from all grade levels are invited to attend. No advance registration required but a phone call to Mrs. Collins would be helpful. Please bring your chess sets.
