Half–Way And Lots Ahead

Believe it or not, the students, teachers, parents and staff of Gateway have reached the half-way mark of the school year.  This Friday is the last day of the 2nd Quarter  / 1st Semester.  We all have much to be thankful for…

· Student enrollment continues to increase (now 179 students with more applications in process).

· Gateway’s financial status is stable, solvent and respectable.

· The K-2 classes were re-located to the Lighthouse Baptist Church campus in October.

· The 10 new modular classrooms have also been re-located to the Lighthouse campus.

· In December parents enjoyed The Joy Story and the Christmas Celebration Concert.

· The boys’ basketball team and the cheerleaders have added great spirit and enthusiasm.

Let’s all give thanks to the LORD for a great first half year!  But without even a day to catch our breath, here’s what’s ahead in January and February…

·  Spirit Week January 23-27 – All students are invited to have fun dressing up according to the dress theme of each day (see below for more details).

·  OPEN HOUSE & ICE CREAM SOCIAL – All GCS students, families and interested new families are invited to attend this fun evening (Jan. 31 7-8:30 pm) of visiting the classrooms, the teachers and enjoying lots of ice cream!  This will take place at each campus, so visit both and bring a new family to Gateway!

· PRIORITY RE-ENROLLMENT 2006-07 – Current Gateway families are invited to re-enroll beginning February 1-21.  Your family’s re-enrollment packet will be available at the OPEN HOUSE  evening.  There is a $50 registration discount per child during this re-enrollment period.

I am looking forward to a great second half !

Serving the Savior,

Mr. Stutzman
