Up-Date
Half–Way And Lots Ahead
Believe it or not, the students, teachers, parents and staff
of Gateway have reached the half-way mark of the school year. This Friday is the last day of the 2nd
Quarter / 1st Semester. We all have much to be thankful for…
· Student enrollment continues to increase (now 179 students with more
applications in process).
· Gateway’s financial status is stable, solvent and respectable.
· The K-2 classes were re-located to the
· The 10 new modular classrooms have also been re-located to the Lighthouse
campus.
· In December parents enjoyed The Joy Story and the Christmas
Celebration Concert.
· The boys’ basketball team and the cheerleaders have added great spirit
and enthusiasm.
Let’s
all give thanks to the LORD for a great first half year! But without even a day to catch our breath,
here’s what’s ahead in January and February…
· Spirit
Week January 23-27 – All
students are invited to have fun dressing up according to the dress theme of
each day (see below for more details).
· OPEN
HOUSE & ICE CREAM SOCIAL – All GCS students, families and
interested new families are invited to attend this fun evening (Jan. 31
7-8:30 pm) of visiting the classrooms, the teachers and enjoying lots of
ice cream! This will take place at each
campus, so visit both and bring a new family to Gateway!
· PRIORITY
RE-ENROLLMENT 2006-07 – Current Gateway families are invited to
re-enroll beginning February 1-21. Your
family’s re-enrollment packet will be available at the OPEN HOUSE evening.
There is a $50 registration discount per child during this re-enrollment
period.

Club Advisor Needed
Mr.
Stutzman is looking for a parent volunteer to be the GCS
Chess
Club Advisor for the GH Campus. The meeting times
for
the Chess Club are yet to be determined. Please contact Mr.

available
for students from 3rd-12th grade.

Needed

yearbook class at the GH Campus needs a printer to

their layout work on schedule. If you have a network capable
