Thanksgiving: Serving with the Whole Heart
|
“Serve wholeheartedly,
as if you were serving the Lord, not men, - because you know that the Lord
will reward everyone for whatever good he does...: These two
verses in Ephesians 6 are foundational to working and serving at Gateway. Later on in
the chapter, Paul commends a man named Tychius as “the dear brother and
faithful servant in the Lord’. As we are now in our twelfth week of
school, it is apparent that the parents and teachers at Gateway carry out
their responsibilities in this positive and joyful spirit. As Paul commended Tychius, I want to commend all
parents and teachers who are laboring ,faithfully and diligently at
Gateway in many seen and unseen ways: THANK YOU to
the parents who removed the debris over the weekend! THANK YOU to
the parents who “stuff” the Family Envelopes each Wednesday! THANK YOU to
the moms and dads who pray regularly for Gateway! THANK YOU to
our basketball team coach and cheerleader advisor! THANK YOU to all who serve with
the whole heart! |

Gateway
Christian’s Scholastic Book Fair gives us the opportunity to bring families,
teachers, students, and books together. It’s the ultimate book event!
One condition of accreditation requires
that Gateway Christian have a library of at least 3,000 books. Remember, a
portion of the sales benefits Gateway Christian to buy books and other library
accessories with our profits. Not only can you expand your child’s reading
skills, but you will also help expand our library through the profits made on
this book fair. There will be Student, Classroom and Library Wish Lists
available at the book fair for your consideration.
Thank
you in advance for helping to make our students lifelong readers; we couldn’t
do it without your participation!
