Administrator’s Up-Date

Volunteers Make Gateway Happen!

Every day I see more and more parents and friends of Gateway getting involved in meeting the needs of our students through their volunteering time, talent and treasure.  There are many more volunteered hours than I can recite on this page. Here are some I would like to thank and acknowledge at this time:

  • Beth Doty (Danielle 9th & Stephanie 4th) and Maureen Dirk (Rachel 5th & Sarah 3rd)

Ran the Golden Hills campus office every day during the first two weeks of school.

  • Mike Curtis (husband of Mrs. Curtis 1st Gr. Teacher)  Used his professional know-how in getting the K-2 classroom drawings through the City of Brentwood approval process and brought in his work crew to finish painting the K-2 classrooms.
  • Pastor “Doc” Beale  Coordinated the K-2 classroom health and fire inspection approvals, site preparation and electrical work at the Lighthouse campus and solicited the donation of nine additional laptop computers for Gateway.
  • James Dirk (Rachel 5th & Sarah 3rd) Installed the sports equipment storage closet sliding doors at the Golden campus.
  • Alicia McCormick  (Dustin McCormick 7th) Organized and directed JH/HS Retreat games and BBQ  for sixty students.
  • Susan Hewlett (Madelyn 2nd) Has organized and overseen the labor and materials used in the site preparation for the new K-2 classrooms for the past four Saturdays!
  • Melissa Sipes (Bethany 4th) and Christine O’Boyle (Matt 6th) are Room Mother Coordinators for the K-5 classes and 6-12 homerooms.

Many thanks to these volunteers and especially many other parents who have also made a big difference in the lives of Gateway students.  If you haven’t yet done so, I encourage you to help make Gateway a happening place!

Serving the Savior,

Mr. Stutzman
