Administrator’s Up-Date

 

Gateway is Underway:  Selling , Rejoicing and Praying

 

The COOKIE DOUGH SALE fundraiser is progressing with great enthusiasm.  Friday there will be an ice cream party for all students who have sold at least 25 items.  This is the final weekend to sell.  The  last day is one week from today, October 19!

As I mentioned in last week’s up-date, THE MOVE is now history.  As of yesterday, the Kindergarten, first and second grade classes began instruction at the Lighthouse Baptist Church campus.  The one catch is that we are waiting for the construction of the steps and access ramp to the portable.  Construction of the ramp is scheduled for today and the final inspection for Thursday. 

  • Let is continue with diligence in selling for the COOKIE DOUGH SALE.
  • Let us give thanks for the wonderful accomplishments so far with THE MOVE and for the final inspection on Thursday to be completed.
  • Let us give thanks and praise for what the LORD is doing at Gateway Christian School.

Beginning Wednesdays….

Beginning Wednesday, October 19, Family Envelopes will be going home every Wednesday and are to be returned Thursday for all students K-12. Enclosed will  be the The Gate, and any other important news such as from PTF, School Board, etc. More information will follow regarding this new procedure.

 

 

 

Lighthouse Dedication

There will be a Lighthouse Dedication on Sunday, November 13, 2005. More information to follow.

Donation Request

The K-2 Campus is in need of a second crock pot for the 8th grade Nacho Sales. Please contact the office at 634-9369 if you can donate or lend one for the school year.

 

Reminder For Pick-Up At GHCC

Pick-up times are as follows:     3rd-5th   3:00pm

                                                6th-12th 3:10pm

Please do not arrive any earlier than designated time.

We need to avoid a back up of cars on Shady Willow

Lane.

 

 

1st Grade Parent Helpers Needed

Please contact the K-2 Campus office at 634-9369 if you can help Mrs. Curtis with her reading groups. Help is still needed on Wednesdays from 10:45-11:40am.

Extended School Day Program

For 1-20 hrs. per month, the cost is $7 per hr., 1st child and $5 per hr., each addl. child.

 

For 21-45 hrs. per month, the prepaid costs are payable in advance of the first school day of the month. The cost is $145 per month, 1st child and $100 per month each addl. child.                   

                                                                             

     Extended Day service ends at 5:00 pm. Parents picking up late will be charged $4 every five (5) minutes for each child.
