Administrator’s Up-Date

Gateway Is Underway: Moving, Praying and Rejoicing!

Today is a huge step forward for Gateway Christian School: the physical relocation of the K-2 classroom unit has begun. Thanks again are deserved for the efforts of numerous K-2 parents and teachers who pitched in to load all of the movable classroom furniture, desks and chairs into the moving truck this afternoon. On Thursday and Friday the moving crew will arrive to split the portable classrooms into two, tow them to the Lighthouse Baptist site and re-join the two halves. The electrical connection will follow with final landscaping on Saturday. On Monday there will be no school for the K-2 students as the teachers prepare the classrooms again for instruction.

· Let us continue to pray for the final inspection by the City of Brentwood to be completed on

Monday so we can start classes on Tuesday. This is so important.

· Let us give thanks and rejoice for what the LORD is doing for Gateway Christian School!

K-2 Campus Is On “The Move” To LBC!

Today, October 5 is the day!! Our K-2 Campus at

Grace will be emptying out their portable and

school office at 12:30pm. Parent help is needed.

The portable building will begin it’s move to our

new Lighthouse Campus tomorrow on October 6

and on Friday, October 7.

Please do not arrive any earlier than designated time.

GCS Directories

Each Gateway Family should have received a copy of the Family Directory. Directories went home with the youngest child. Please check with your child’s teacher if you did not receive one.

Reminder- the Family Directory is for inter family communications only and is not to be given out for business use.

1^st Grade Parent Helpers Needed

Please contact the K-2 Campus office at 634-9369 if you can help Mrs. Curtis with her reading groups. Help is still needed on Wednesdays from 10:45-11:40am.

Room Moms Still Needed

Room Mom’s are still needed for 6^th grade and for

9^th-12^th grade. Please contact Christine O’Boyle at

home 754-1045, or on her cell 783-2126 if you are

interested. Thank you to our volunteers!

JH/ HS Needs

We are happy to inform you that GCS has started a new JH/ HS elective class called Desktop Publishing. This class will play a large role in constructing the 2005/2006 yearbook!

Thank you to Mrs. Kathy Boyd for the use of her digital camera for the Desktop Publishing class.

Additional digital cameras donations will also be accepted.

Extended School Day Program

For 1-20 hrs. per month, the cost is $7 per hr. , 1^st child and $5 per hr., each addl. child.

For 21-45 hrs. per month, the prepaid costs are payable in advance of the first school day of the month. The cost is $145 per month, 1^st child and $100 per month each addl. child.

Extended Day service ends at 5:00 pm. Parents picking up late will be charged $4 every five (5) minutes for each child.
